It had been a serious problem in Saudi Arabia that Saudi Arabian employers were used to misbehave with their foreign employees. Not only misbehave but also they were reporting fake huroob against their workers. It means despite worker is working with them properly, there were reporting to passport control department that their worker is absent from work without permission. It is known as huroob in Saudi Arabia. Local Saudi Arabian Kafeel were using huroob as a method to blackmail their workers in legal way. A hundreds of foreign residents have been complaining against fake huroob. Recently in 2019, the government of Saudi Arabia has announced new rules of huroob reporting. These new rules have implemented in KSA in 2019. The purpose of new rules is to stop Saudi Arabian sponsors or employers from abusing the huroob system. It is no doubt, huroob is very dangerous rule and it can destroy the career of foreigners. When a kafeel reports huroob again an employee, The Saudi Arabian immigration spread this information to all relevant departments. The employee becomes wanted in Saudi Arabia and police department starts to search for him. If he is arrested by the Police, he is detained in detention center and finally deported from KSA to his home country. Deported person is usually baned for five years to re-enter Saudi Arabia. So, it is revealed that huroob whether fake or legit, can destroy the career of an employee. Some employee are selling visas to foreigners and when foreigners enter the kingdom, the employer allow them to work anywhere and demand some money every month. If employee do not pay money, the kafeel reports huroob. This is usually known as iqama huroob. Iqama huroob can be checked online at the website of Ministry of Interior Saudi Arabia. Recently, The ministry of labor made new rules in the connection of huroob reporting. According to the new rules, if an employee has already filed a case against employers, the employer cannot report huroob against him. If a kafeel has reported huroob against an employee, he can withdraw reported huroob within 30 days, it was fifteen days in past. As per new regulations, The status of kafeel should be up to the standards of Ministry of labor of Saudi Arabia. New rules, give more rights to employee to appeal and challenge the reported huroob. Removing huroob is possible through challenging or appeal. If employee talks to employer and settle their dispute, the employer can withdraw huroob. If employee is failed in removing huroob, he/she has no way other than deportation.
